Cronyism to me feels more like an interpersonal strategy of reciprocal favoritism while with Collusionism I was hoping to capture a broader more systemic mutually-reinforcing incentive structure guiding the actions of political and economic elites. You might say Collusionism is an impersonal macro-level form of cronyism that warps the decision making of anyone hoping to advance in business or politics. Or you could say I just like making up new words :)
